it comes creeping towards your barefeet,
you jump back on bed to feel a little heat.
it then holds your hands very gently,
and you start rubbing them to warm them slowly,
it compels you to make a cup of hot tea.
and you pull up your socks upto your knee.
it sends chills to you in the early hours,
and you hesitate a lot before taking showers,
the sun bids you a bye a bit early,
and the nights are long, cool, long and shivery
its the season of peaches and apples.
and tress of figs and leaves of mapple.
winters give you many things to admire,
it’s a treat to cherish , as beautiful as the sapphire.
